Platform360: Accounts, Contacts, Tasks
The core that is always on in every org: customer base, activities, task calendar and the foundation for custom apps.
What is it for?#
Platform360 is always active in all orgs and provides the common base shared by every app: Accounts, Contacts and Tasks. Your custom objects also live here by default.
Accounts#
- One company card for customers, prospects and partners: industry, phone, address, website, owner.
- The account page shows related Contacts, Opportunities, Cases, Orders and Invoices at a glance.
Contacts#
- Contact cards with name, e-mail, phone, title and the linked account.
- With Marketing360 enabled, consent status, record e-mails and segment memberships appear on the contact page.
Tasks and calendar#
- Tasks can be attached to any record: calls, meetings, reminders, with due date, priority and owner.
- The Task Calendar shows your tasks in day/week views; overdue tasks are highlighted on home page lists.
- Completed tasks are written to the related record's activity timeline.
Foundation for custom apps#
Custom objects created in the Object Manager appear under Platform360 unless assigned to an app: you can build your own data model even on the base package.
Tip: Start data entry from the company: first the Account, then the Contact, then the Opportunity or Case. With relationships right from the start, reports become meaningful by themselves.
Package and access#
Platform360 is not an app you buy from the Marketplace: it is always on in every org and included in the platform subscription. It has no Marketplace card and cannot be turned off, because every other app shares the Account, Contact and Task objects through it.

Naming: Platform360 can be renamed too. Under Setup > Apps and Tabs, type the name of your own business (for example "CarWash360"); that name then shows in the app launcher and the tab bar.
